About developer tools
This is a broad toolbox for people who build and run software: databases such as Neon and Turso, LLM infrastructure (Vllm for serving open-weight models, Berriai for managing LLM keys and budgets, jan.ai for running models locally), AI coding agents such as Cline, scraping APIs from Apify and ZenRows, and the Screaming Frog crawler. Open source is common, so 44 of the 77 tools have a free plan. Paid tiers mix usage billing, per-seat plans and enterprise quotes, with a median listed price of $19/mo.
What to compare before you choose
Self-hosted open source or managed service
Vllm, jan.ai and Berriai are free to download, but you run them: Vllm needs GPU hardware and DevOps capacity, and jan.ai needs a machine capable of local inference. Managed services such as Neon cost money but remove operations work. Price your team's time, not just the software.
Usage, seats or flat fees
Billing units vary widely: Neon's serverless Postgres has a free tier and usage-based plans from $19/mo, Screaming Frog charges $279/yr per license, and Arcade's Growth plan starts at $42.50/mo billed annually. Check what grows with you, whether queries, seats or requests, before committing.
Fit for non-developers
Many tools here are strictly developer infrastructure, as our review of Berriai states plainly, and Cline expects you to manage external AI model integrations. Arcade (interactive product demos) and Screaming Frog (technical SEO audits) are the exceptions marketers use, though Screaming Frog still suits technical marketers best.
