Conversion Gems editorial verdict
From $42/mo (annual); 30-day free trial
Features7/10
7 - broad coverage (courses, coaching, community, email, website) but LMS customization and blogging trail specialist tools.
Value6/10
6 - no free tier; Mover's 5% fee is costly at volume; doubling to $84/mo to remove fees is steep for early-stage creators.
Ease of use8/10
8 - well-regarded for guided onboarding; no technical skills needed to launch a full storefront.
Ecosystem6/10
6 - 1,900+ integrations via Zapier, but PayPal and Zapier are paywalled behind Shaker; no deep native LMS connectors.
Support7/10
7 - live chat on paid plans, solid knowledge base, and email support across all tiers.

What it really is

Podia — all-in-one platform for creators to sell courses, memberships, coaching, and digital downloads.

Our take

Podia bundles course hosting, digital downloads, coaching, webinars, community, email marketing, and a website builder into a single creator storefront. The DB categorises it as freemium, but Podia discontinued its free plan in late 2024; three paid tiers (Mover, Shaker, Earthquaker) now replace it, with a 30-day free trial available. The DB entry price of $39/mo is also outdated — the current Mover plan starts at $42/mo billed annually.

Why we rate it

Podia's unified approach genuinely reduces tool sprawl — replacing separate course hosts, email platforms, and community apps — making it a realistic all-in-one budget for solo creators.

The catch

The 5% transaction fee on Mover punishes volume sellers, yet stepping to Shaker at $84/mo doubles the cost. The free plan is gone, and email subscriber caps force expensive tier upgrades as lists grow.

Best for
Solo educators launching their first course or membership site
Coaches bundling digital products, live sessions, and community
Creators who want email marketing and community built into their storefront
Not good for
Advanced LMS use cases requiring SCORM or granular quiz/completion logic
High-volume sellers sensitive to the Mover tier's 5% transaction fee
Content marketers needing a robust blogging and SEO platform
Friction report
Time to value
Fast — 30-day trial with no credit card; a storefront and first product can go live within hours using the guided setup.
Scale breakpoint
Transaction fees on Mover erode margins at volume; Shaker/Earthquaker pricing jumps steeply, and per-tier email subscriber caps force upgrades as lists grow.
Walled garden
Moderate — courses, community, and email lists live inside Podia; 1,900+ Zapier integrations reduce lock-in, but native PayPal and Zapier are Shaker-and-above only.
