What it really is

Kajabi — all-in-one platform for selling online courses, coaching, and digital products.

Our take

Kajabi is the benchmark all-in-one creator platform, bundling course hosting, community, email marketing, sales funnels, and payments under a single login. The DB lists $149/mo as the entry price, but Kajabi restructured pricing in early 2026; the Starter plan now opens at $89/mo ($71/mo billed annually). The old Basic-tier price of $149/mo is no longer current. 'E-commerce Platforms' is a valid category but undersells its creator-economy positioning.

Why we rate it

Kajabi eliminates tool sprawl at every stage of a creator business: one platform handles course delivery, drip content, community, email sequences, checkout, and analytics. The polish and uptime reliability justify the premium for creators generating real revenue.

The catch

High base price with no free tier, punishing contact caps on lower plans, and a 5% third-party processor surcharge on Starter — total cost of ownership can surprise fast-growing creators.

Best for
Online course creators and educators monetising expertise
Coaches selling programs bundled with community access
Digital entrepreneurs consolidating multiple SaaS tools into one
Not good for
Beginners on tight budgets — no free tier and steep entry price
Large enterprises needing deep CRM, ERP, or B2B integrations
Creators who only need a simple storefront or landing page
Friction report
Time to value
Moderate: guided onboarding is polished, but configuring a full course, email sequence, and checkout funnel realistically takes several hours.
Scale breakpoint
Contact limits bite early — upgrading from Starter (250 contacts) to Basic (2,500) doubles the monthly price; Growth jumps again for 25k contacts.
Walled garden
High: courses, community, emails, and payments are tightly coupled inside Kajabi; migrating content and members to another platform requires significant manual re-build.
