Why we rate itHoneyBook earns its reputation by collapsing what used to be 4–6 separate tools (DocuSign, FreshBooks, Calendly, a CRM, email, etc.) into one coherent workflow.
The smart files feature is genuinely clever, and the onboarding templates mean freelancers can be sending professional proposals within an hour of signup.
The catchPayment processing fees are unavoidable and stack on top of subscription costs — at volume, this erodes margin versus combining a cheaper invoicing tool with a payment processor.
Reporting depth is limited on Starter, and multi-user collaboration requires at least the Essentials tier.
