Conversion Gems editorial verdict
From $170/mo
Features7/10
7 - strong EVV, scheduling, and multi-payer billing; AI alerts added recently, but clinical depth is limited vs. full EHR platforms.
Value6/10
6 - $170/mo flat is reasonable for small agencies, but pricing lacks transparency and DB-listed $5/user/month is inaccurate.
Ease of use7/10
7 - users rate ease of use positively (4.0/5 overall), but initial EVV/payer setup adds friction.
Ecosystem5/10
5 - HIPAA-compliant with multi-payer support, but limited documented third-party integrations outside the core billing/EVV workflow.
Support4/10
4 - support responsiveness is the most-cited complaint across Capterra and GetApp reviews; inconsistent response times.

What it really is

CareTime (now Alora Health) — home care scheduling, EVV, and billing platform for home care agencies.

Our take

CareTime is a purpose-built home care management system covering scheduling, electronic visit verification (EVV), caregiver mobile documentation, and Medicaid/Medicare billing — not a CRM or sales tool as the DB categorizes it. The DB also lists $5/user/month, but the actual entry price is approximately $170/month flat. CareTime has since rebranded as Alora Health for new customers; existing customers retain their current product and support with no forced migration.

Why we rate it

CareTime solves a genuine pain point for home care agencies: connecting what caregivers do in the field directly to what gets billed and paid. Its EVV compliance coverage across all 50 states and multi-payer billing support make it a practical choice for Medicaid-heavy agencies.

The catch

Customer support is consistently flagged in reviews as slow or hard to reach. The brand rebranding to Alora Health may create confusion for new buyers, and the pricing page is not transparent.

Best for
Home care agencies managing Medicaid/Medicare billing
Agencies needing EVV compliance across multiple states
Small-to-mid-size teams wanting scheduling and billing in one system
Not good for
Non-healthcare businesses (DB mislabeled this as CRM/Sales)
Agencies needing deep EHR clinical documentation beyond home care
Teams requiring enterprise-grade support SLAs
Friction report
Time to value
Moderate: onboarding requires configuring payer types, caregiver profiles, and EVV settings before first visit; not a same-day setup.
Scale breakpoint
Flat-rate pricing becomes attractive at scale, but support bottlenecks and limited self-service documentation can slow growth past 50+ caregivers.
Walled garden
Moderate: billing and EVV data live within the platform; exports exist but workflows and compliance history are tightly coupled to the system.
