Captain Data rebuilt from scratch in late 2025, pivoting away from its no-code workflow automation roots (sunset Dec 31 2025) into a pure API-first data infrastructure layer. It exposes 500M+ people and company profiles for real-time search and enrichment, targeting AI product builders and B2B SaaS platforms — not just sales teams. The DB labels it 'Freemium' which is misleading: pricing is strictly usage/credit-based with only 100 free trial credits; meaningful production volumes start around €600/mo.

Why we rate it
