ZixCorp made email encryption for regulated industries. OpenText acquired Zix in 2021, and the product is now OpenText Core Email Encryption: it scans outgoing email against your data loss prevention (DLP) rules and encrypts, quarantines or blocks matching messages. It is licensed per user on monthly, annual or multi-year subscriptions; OpenText does not publish prices.

Zix is now part of OpenText (checked 3 October 2026)

OpenText's Zix page says Zix was acquired by OpenText in 2021. Zix's marketing site now lives on cybersecurity.opentext.com, and its email encryption is sold as OpenText Core Email Encryption.

Existing Zix tools still run: administrators sign in at Zix Central (console.zixcentral.com), there is a Zix Message Center (zixmessagecenter.com), and support stays at support.zixcorp.com.

OpenText acquired Zix in 2021. Zix's email encryption is now sold as OpenText Core Email Encryption, and the Zix support and account portals still work.

How do I open a Zix encrypted email?

Click the link in the notification email to reach the secure portal. If you need help, contact the organisation that sent the message; its support details are on the portal's login page. OpenText also has a guide for new users.

Where is the Zix login?
