Conversion Gems is an independent review site, not TestOut or CompTIA. TestOut made IT training courseware with hands-on lab simulations on its LabSim platform, used mainly by schools and their students. CompTIA acquired TestOut in January 2023, renamed LabSim to CertMaster and is discontinuing TestOut Pro certifications. Students now log in at platform.comptia.org; CompTIA publishes no TestOut price list.

CompTIA announced its acquisition of Utah-based TestOut on January 19, 2023. testout.com now redirects to CompTIA's website.

CompTIA renamed the LabSim platform CertMaster and introduced platform.comptia.org; labsimapp.testout.com still loads. CompTIA is moving all training products to one login at login.comptia.org and is replacing TestOut Pro certifications with Competency Assessments.
