Student privacy
What Diffit says about student data (vendor statements, checked 2 October 2026):
- No student logins: Students don't use Diffit directly. Teachers create the materials and print, export or share them.
- Data collected: Diffit says it collects only teacher names, email addresses and IP addresses, and no student data.
- FERPA and COPPA: Diffit states it is FERPA and COPPA compliant and signs the National Data Privacy Agreement and the Student Data Privacy Consortium's statewide agreements.
- Security: Diffit says data is encrypted in transit and at rest and the app has a yearly third-party penetration test. It holds a 'Pass' rating from Common Sense Media.
